Actually, this movie tells about a marriage couple, John Smith (Brad Pitt) and Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie). They seemed like a happy couple with a luxurious house and cars, but when we look deeper, they had a big problem. They were living a lie! They lied each other from the first time they met. Although they met in an accidentally meeting, they could do nothing because the cupid had been arrowed its archery exactly at their heart. This physically harmonious couple was in love. They only need a month to get into a marriage bond. Their problem was not already stopping instead; a marriage is a new step in life that is very unpredictable. Who knew, a couple that has been live together could be living in a lie from the first for six years? John and Jane were very clever to hide their true shape as the best one of contract killers for rival agencies, who had the same job in that time, that to kill the same target who is starred by Adam Brody. In short period of time, John and Jane knew their secret identity and tried to attack each other. They made their war in their own castle of marriage. The whole world stopped immediately but they still shined in the bombastic of war they’ve made. No one was won. They convinced to save their marriage and get together to finish their ‘dark’ job.

Great! Two thumbs up for this movie. The first time I watched this movie, it felt like holy water washed over my eyes. Liman as the director made a good blending for this movie. In some serious scenes like when John and Jane were have a consultation with their marriage consultant, Liman made it into some joke with a little bit America’s sarcasm. Another scene that I love best is when they were having a war in their own house. They attacked each other with guns and bombs in their hands and those all were over up but Liman could mix it with joke, so we could feel the humanity still. Mr & Mrs Smith reminds us somewhat of War of the Roses, both of them took home as war field between a marriage couple. The most interesting is Liman’s way to show hate and love feelings between John and Jane with a unique twist that make the viewer’s heart beat faster, get into, and even passionate. Those just came spilling out. Angelina Jolie is sexy and Brad Pitt is cool. They could take the viewers high and touched the sky. Their chemical reaction turn around the screen, make viewers believed that they were really had both taking sides’ feelings. Sometimes they looked very romantic and harmonious but in other time they could be so selfish and ruined each other like a usual marriage couple. Although they were contract killers, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could be looked so humanity as a marriage couple. Love between these Smith looked strong when in a quarrel they had a confession of faith and honest. One thing that Liman wanted to show to us is the truly of marriage. Behind of the whizzing sound of shot fired and the lunge of bomb, Liman tried to remember us, with an action movie’s special crude, which marriage should be defense; because these days marriage is only a symbol of unity of two persons who fall in love then bond in a legal institution. Even for some persons, marriage is a legalization status symbol in people.

Overall, this is an excellent movie. There is a lot of action. Lots of inside romances. The characters are well acted, too. You should watch this movie! It is very cool. Go to your nearest rental videos for you who have never been watch it! So, check it out and have fun.
